Playing outside gives children the chance to explore the natural environment and have adventures: it is fun and exciting, important for children’s learning and good for their physical health and wellbeing, especially when life is more indoors, isolated or restricted.
Last week our KS1 children went to the park with a mission: use all five senses to explore!
They touched the ground, they smelt the leaves, they listened to the noises of nature.
Once back in school it was time to get creative. We were ready to take out our pens and write about our adventure, reproducing our experiences in a colourful display.
The children have produced some wonderful descriptions and we are all very proud of them.
We can’t wait for our next outdoor adventure!
