Home Learning
During the recent lockdowns we ensured our pupils succeeded academically but were also supported in navigating these challenging times. If we ever need to return to home learning, we are equipped to support our pupils in the best possible way.
Thriving During Remote Learning
We believe that live interaction with their teachers and friends provides the children with a source of comfort and normality in unsettling times; this is why we delivered more than 90 hours of live online lessons every week.
- We split classes into smaller groups – each group had a dedicated Google Classroom where, in addition to live online lessons, our students could benefit from videos, activities, pre-recorded lessons, assignments and extra resources in Italian and English following our unique bilingual curriculum.
- Delivering both live and pre-recorded lessons and resources, our home learning gives families the flexibility they need but also allows our pupils to maintain their academic progress.
- For children needing extra support in either of the two languages, we were also providing one-to-one sessions with their teachers and teaching assistants.

"We couldn't be more impressed and frankly proud of how quickly and seamlessly SIAL.school transitioned to online learning last year and again in January when schools closed in England. The teachers and the staff did a wonderful job ensuring the children were continuing to learn, staying connected, and maintaining a healthy school routine and schedule. Being able to engage daily with her teachers and classmates, even if in a virtual classroom environment, has definitely made staying at home so much easier for our daughter (and for us all)."
