Achievement Levels

Progress and attainment are rigorously monitored and teacher assessment provides ongoing information on what an individual pupil has learned at key points throughout the year.

At SIAL.school our aim is to enable all children to reach the Expected levels of Progress and Attainment and to enable as many children as possible to exceed them.

Even though the children are studying two languages we have high expectations, given the quality of the teachers we have employed and the excellent work our pupils have demonstrated year after year.

Please see below for our latest Progress data at the end of the academic year for the school as a whole.

Reading, Writing, Maths – Progress – Whole school
Please note that schools were not required to publish their exam and assessment results from 2019/2020 or 2020/21 academic years as these have not been published as performance measures by the Secretary of State, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Therefore the above performance measures show data from the academic year 2015/16 to the academic year 2018/2019, then from the academic year 2021/2022.
The percentage of pupils exceeding expected progress in RWM in both languages  is calculated on the total number of pupils making expected progress in RWM in both languages.

The results are even more impressive considering that some children have been in the country and working with an additional language for less than 12 months when achievement tests were taken.

We promote and maintain not only our pupils’ bilingualism but also their biliteracy, from EYFS up to Year 6.
Our children start reading and writing in both languages at the same time: find out more about our bilingual curriculum.
