Every Thursday is Open Day: visit our bilingual school
November 4, 2026We are delighted to share some exciting news: from January 2027, we will be welcoming two-year-olds to our bilingual nursery.
For over 15 years, we have been supporting children on their Italian-English bilingual learning journey, offering a nurturing educational environment where languages, cultures and curiosity grow together. Until now, our nursery provision has welcomed children aged three and four. We are now taking another step by opening our doors to younger children, giving even more families the opportunity to experience bilingual education from an early age.
Growing through two languages
We believe that the early years are a precious time for discovery, exploration and building relationships. At this stage, children learn naturally through play, stories, songs and everyday interactions. By surrounding them with both Italian and English, we create opportunities for them to become familiar with two languages in a natural and enjoyable way.
And you don’t need to speak Italian or English at home to be part of this journey! Our bilingual practitioners support children throughout their daily experiences, helping them develop their language, social and emotional skills at their own pace.
A welcoming environment where every child can flourish
Our new provision will be based in the same building as our existing nursery in West London, a few steps from Holland Park, with carefully planned indoor and outdoor spaces designed to encourage exploration, creativity and independent discovery.
With a ratio of one practitioner to every three children, we can give each child the individual attention and care they need. Our dedicated Room Leader and bilingual team will work together to create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment where every child feels supported.
A valuable experience for every family
We know that every family has its own plans and aspirations for their children’s education. Whether your child continues their learning journey with us at SIAL or follows a different educational path in the future, we believe that experiencing two languages and cultures from an early age is a wonderful opportunity.
Eligible families may also benefit from 15 or 30 hours of government-funded childcare per week, subject to the applicable eligibility criteria in England.
Join us from January 2027!
We can’t wait to welcome our youngest learners and their families to this new chapter at SIAL.
Our new nursery will welcome children who have turned two by their start date in January 2027, while our existing provision for children aged three and above will continue as usual.
If you would like to find out more or register your interest, please complete our expression of interest form or contact us at admissions@sial.school.
We look forward to starting this new journey with you!
