Who is eligible?

15 hours of funded childcare – 3 and 4-year-olds

All eligible children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of government-funded early
education per week, regardless of their parents’ employment or income.

30 hours of funded childcare – eligible working families

Eligible working families may be entitled to an additional 15 hours per week, giving a total of 30 funded hours.
You can check your eligibility for the 30 hours through the government website.

15 Hours of Funded Childcare – Ages 3 and 4

• Eligible children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of government-funded childcare per week.
• The school will apply for this funding on your behalf, so you do not need to apply for the universal 15 hours yourself.
• The amount paid by the government is set nationally and does not necessarily match the school’s hourly fees.
• The funding will normally be reflected on your invoice in the term when your child becomes eligible.
• All parents must complete the Parental Declaration Form which will be sent through Adobe.
  This form is required for the school to claim the funded hours and apply the funding to your invoice.

30 Hours of Funded Childcare – Eligible Working Families

If you meet the government’s eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to an additional 15 hours per week, giving you a total of 30 funded hours.

• Parents are responsible for applying for the additional 15 hours themselves. The school cannot apply for this on your behalf.
• Once your application is approved, you will receive an 11-digit eligibility code.
• Please provide your eligibility code to the school as soon as possible so that we can claim the additional funding on your behalf.
• Parents receiving the 30-hour funding must also complete the Parental Declaration Form which will be sent through Adobe. This is a requirement for us to claim and apply the funding to your invoice.
• It is important to check that your eligibility remains valid and to reconfirm your eligibility when required.
• If your eligibility code expires and is not renewed within the required timeframe, you may lose your additional funded hours.

Children Under 3

If your child is under 3 and you believe they may be eligible for funded childcare, you must apply for the funding yourself and provide the school with your eligibility code.

Key points to remember

• The school will apply for the universal 15 hours of funding for eligible 3- and 4-year- olds.
• Parents must apply themselves for the additional 15 hours (30 hours in total) if they are eligible.
• The Parental Declaration Form must be completed by all parents receiving funded hours, including those receiving the 30-hour entitlement.
• Please provide your valid 30-hour eligibility code to the school as soon as you receive it.
• Make sure you reconfirm your eligibility when required to avoid losing your funded hours.
• If your child is under 3 and eligible for funded childcare, parents must apply and provide the eligibility code to the school.
• Please inform the school promptly of any changes to your circumstances that may affect your eligibility.
  You will receive a Parental Declaration Form through Adobe. This form contains important information that we need from you and must be completed as a condition of receiving the funded hours. Without a completed form, we will not be able to apply the funding to your invoice, including the additional 15 hours for eligible families receiving the 30-hour entitlement.
