After a well-deserved break, our pupils are going back to school today, ready for the second half of the Autumn term at SIAL.school.
Over the half-term week we had a chance to pause for a moment and look back: since last March, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we have been working hard to give the children a sense of normality.
With a swift transition to online learning, our students were able to continue their journey without interruption, while we prepared the school to welcome them back into their classrooms in June.
When school reopened in September for the new school year, the children’s enthusiasm truly blew us away.
They came back with a really positive energy, a willingness to work and learn together, a great sense of responsibility and a new-found independence.

The recent announcement of a new national lockdown finds us prepared and we are extremely pleased to be able to keep our school open and continue with face-to-face learning in our classrooms.
We will continue to follow government guidance and regulations to ensure our students and staff can safely enjoy their time at school, while keeping the whole community safe.
We may not know what lies ahead, but we are committed more than ever to empower our students, not only by offering them the best bilingual and bi-curricular education, but also by continuing to support their emotional wellbeing.
At SIAL.school we believe that children should be seen and heard and this is particularly true in this unsettling period.
This is why we encourage strong links between home and school and supporting our students’ families is part of our mission.
The first (virtual) event of the second half of the Autumn term will be a Parents’ Evening on the subject of e-safety. Details will be announced soon.
In the meantime, welcome back to all our students!
