SIAL.school hosts a variety of cultural events on its premises over the school year.
These events are designed and offered with the Italian bilingual community in mind, together with amazing partners that share with us the mission of promoting the Italian language and culture in the UK.

Illustra una storia di Gianni Rodari | 24th April 2023

A free workshop in Italian with Giuditta Gaviraghi, aka Judi Abbot, organised in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture in London on the occasion of FILL Festival of Italian Literature in London 2023.
Children had the chance to find out how illustration works and even have a go at illustrating their own book cover, inspired by Gianni Rodari’s Libro dei Perché.

Viaggio in Sicilia Book Presentation | 24th March 2023

An amazing event organised in collaboration with The Italian Bookshop and Cairo Editore for the presentation of the new book by Giusi Battaglia, Giusina in Cucina.

Dante per bambini (e per genitori curiosi) | 19th October 2022

A family event in Italian organised by The Italian Embassy in London, the Italian Consulate General, ICI London in collaboration with our school,  aimed at helping children to read and enjoy Dante’s Divina Commedia and its famous characters.

Chi ha paura di Dante Alighieri? | 19th May 2022

A special evening with Marco Gambino and Stefano Jossa who guided us into the Divina Commedia’s most controversial parts.
The event was organised by The Italian Bookshop in collaboration with the General Consulate of Italy in London, as part of the programme Vivere all’Italiana.

Dislessia… Dove Sei Albert? | 22nd April 2022

 A play written and directed by Francesco Riva, about his own experience as a dyslexic child.

We are delighted to welcome Tareke Brhane and Comitato Tre Ottobre, together with Annalisa Brusati, Senior Technical Advisor for Child Protection at the International Rescue Committee and Rossella Palma, representative from Emergency UK.

This free event will be a great opportunity to broaden the knowledge and awareness of young and older adults on the issues of migration and the human rights of refugees and asylum seekers
